Client-Side Representation for a Private Family Residence
Client-side representation for a private hôtel particulier in Paris 8th arrondissement, designed as a long-term family residence in anticipation of a permanent relocation to Paris.
The project involved an extended preparatory phase, with eight months of studies and program development, followed by one year of construction. The property was fully restructured across multiple levels: a dedicated basement for service functions, a reception level including living areas and kitchen, two intermediate floors accommodating four bedrooms, and a fully fitted attic converted into a master suite.
The client, highly experienced and demanding, was closely involved throughout the process, alternating between Paris and New York. A precise and detailed brief was jointly established between the client, the architect, and myself, serving as a stable framework for decision-making over time.
My role covered the full scope of client-side representation: program definition, budget structuring, coordination with the architect and all contractors, interface management between trades, and continuous on-site supervision. Particular attention was given to sequencing, technical consistency, and anticipation of constraints inherent to a complex, multi-level residential project.
The house was delivered turnkey, fully furnished and equipped. The project resulted in a controlled, demanding execution process and a seamless installation for the entire family, meeting both functional expectations and long-term residential comfort.
